Polestar 5: Exterior design
Polestar has already teased the design of the new 5 Series, and it looks like it will be very similar to the Polestar Precept concept car. The front end will be very similar to the Precept. If you look closely at the front of the Polestar 5, you can just make out a set of split headlights – just like the Precept concept.
If you compare it to the rear of this car, you can see that it has a very similar shape, if not a slightly smoother one. It has the same thin strip of light wrapping around the rear, and it looks like there's a full-length glass roof too.
The Polestar 5 is built on an innovative and brand new platform. It is a glued aluminum platform that is supposed to be light and sturdy. Until now, its use in mass production of vehicles was still problematic because it had to contend with quality problems. But with this lighter basic structure, the Polestar 5 is of course more efficient in terms of consumption.
Polestar 5: Drive and battery
According to Polestar, the power under the hood should be up to 884 hp with standard all-wheel drive via two motors. This puts the Polestar 5 within reach of a Porsche Taycan. In terms of range, up to 500 km should be possible, charging from 10 to 80% should work within 10 minutes thanks to the 800 V base.
Polestar 5: Interior
In the case of the Polestar 5, it could be the rare case that the interior of a concept car (pictured) is taken over into production largely unchanged.
This means that the dashboard does not have any buttons at all. The most important functions are housed in the central infotainment system and in the clear digital driver display.
Polestar 5: Prices and sales launch
The manufacturer has announced that the Polestar 5 will hit the roads in 2025. Nothing is known about the price yet, but it can be assumed that it will be approaching the 120,000 euro mark – if not even higher. As soon as more information is available, we will keep you posted!
